The family room had loud racing car noise, but the river view was beautiful.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway

The morning breakfast was sublime with fresh pastries and attentive staff who remembered my favorite coffee order which really made my day. I also had a fantastic experience in the leisure center where all the facilities were great and I felt rejuvenated after a good workout followed by some relaxation in the sauna.

It wasn’t cheap but still felt acceptable for the experience I got.

Just a great match for a city break in Athlone with high value for money. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had, thanks to the amazing help from our waitress Avril. Make sure to stop for breakfast!

The river view room delivered stunning visuals, enhancing our relaxation. Access to the bar area was convenient, making it easy to unwind after exploring nearby shops and restaurants. However, check-in at 3 PM felt quite late, creating an unnecessary delay in our plans. The noise from a wedding party kept us awake until 3 AM—an unexpected disruption that overshadowed the pleasant experience.

The view from my Junior Suite was stunning, overlooking the River Shannon. The staff were incredibly welcoming, especially Giovanni and Joy, who even upgraded my room without me asking. Breakfast offered a variety, though it was more standard than the exceptional dinner I experienced. My only downside was that my request for milk for my tea wasn't fulfilled. Overall, it was a delightful stay with comfortable accommodations and excellent dining options.

There were quite a few inconveniences during my stay. Notably, the carpets in the hallways needed a good cleaning. My family's room had some maintenance issues, such as a cracked bunk bed step and a falling toilet roll holder. Additionally, the bar's limited menu and slow service left us feeling overlooked. The check-in process took longer than expected, and the dining space had seating that felt more like garden furniture than a proper dining experience. It could also use better organization, as there were issues with table availability despite being told we didn't need a reservation.
